Christmas is my favorite time of the year and sad to say I was disappointed in these short stories, they just seemed to lack any dept or meaning as it should correlate to this time of the year.
I found the holiday stories to be charming and unexpected. Papa settles his children on his lap and tells them unique stories from the top of his head. The children behave like normal children unlike the angels you usually meet. Papa is amused by their antics and teases them. And then starts the story. Each story is completely different from the typical. If you want a change, this is the book for you.
Love the stories, but the print in this volume is very small and so light it is very hard to read.
My sister bought a copy of this at a book Fair for fifteen cents back before I was born and had my mother read it to her. My mother has read that book every year since up until a couple of years ago when I took over reading it for her. The other day my son read it to his sister "for practice" he said.
